Whether you hopped on one of our rental bikes, joined us for an enthralling tour, found your dream bike in our shop, or entrusted us with your bike for service, we are immensely thankful for your support.

As we reflect on the past 12 months, we are filled with gratitude for the loyalty and enthusiasm you’ve shown us. It’s your smiles, shared stories, and the sound of spinning wheels that motivate us to continue pedaling forward. We’re thrilled to have been a part of your cycling adventures and look forward to creating even more unforgettable moments together in the upcoming year.

New Two-Hour Rental Option!

If you’ve ever wanted to tool around Savannah a bit but don’t have a full day to devote, we’ve got a new option for you! We are testing out a two-hour rental booking during the winter months to see how it’s received by our customers and, if all goes well, we’ll continue with it throughout the year. Some things to note, it’s only available on traditional bikes (not electric, tandems, trikes, etc.), and it’s not reservable online, so you’ll need to come to the shop for this first come, first served, option. Give it a try and let us know what you think!

MIPS Helmets Now Available at Savannah On Wheels

We have recently started carrying MIPS helmets for sale at Savannah On Wheels and wanted to spread the word about the benefits they offer. MIPS (Multi-directional Impact Protection System) bike helmets revolutionize cycling safety by addressing rotational forces during impacts. Traditional helmets primarily shield against linear impacts, but MIPS integrates a low-friction layer, allowing the helmet to rotate slightly upon impact. This crucial innovation helps reduce rotational forces transferred to the brain, minimizing the risk of injury. Cyclists benefit from enhanced protection, particularly in oblique impacts common in real-world accidents. Choosing a MIPS helmet ensures a higher level of safety, providing peace of mind for riders of all levels. Last Stop Loved Cupid Ride 2024

There’s still plenty of time to register for the 2024 Last Stop Loved Cupid Ride benefitting Georgia Rescue, Rehabilitation, & Relocation (GRRR)! The ride takes place on Saturday, February 10, 2024 at 12:00pm (Noon). Now in its third year, the Last Stop Loved Cupid Ride is a police-escorted 5-mile bicycle ride through Savannah’s Historic District. This unique event is designed to raise both money and awareness for GRRR, a 501(c)(3) rescue organization dedicated to serving Savannah and the surrounding counties. The funds raised through the ride contribute to GRRR’s Last Stop Loved program, which focuses on finding homes and providing medical care for medically challenged senior dogs who have been abandoned or lost their owners due to unfortunate circumstances. Your support for this event will directly benefit GRRR’s efforts to care for these canine companions, offering them a dignified and comfortable life in their twilight years.

We Are Open New Year’s Eve

& New Year’s Day

Start the new year off with a bike ride! We are open our usual hours on New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day for rentals, tours, sales and service. Set yourself up for success in 2024 by pulling your old bicycle out of storage and bringing it in for a tune-up. We’ll take a comprehensive look at your wheels to make sure everything is functioning safely and properly and get it ready for riding.

Our holiday hours are as follows:

Sunday, December 31st 9:30am-5:30pm

Monday, January 1st 9:30am-5:30pm

Local Rescue Spotlight

Taking this opportunity to share just some of the fur angels that Georgia Rescue, Rehabilitation, & Relocation (GRRR) has helped this month alone. So many rescues are beyond capacity and in need of assistance, and GRRR is no exception. You’ve already read about the amazing work they do in our community so please consider helping them or other rescues in your area. Medical expenses add up quickly and funds are critical in ensuring these babies continue to receive the care they so desperately need.
