1. WHAT IS INCLUDED ON THE BIKE TOUR?
Bicycle, tour guide, complementary helmet (required for 16 yrs old and younger) and bottle water. For after-tour bike rentals, we include bike lock and map of Savannah's Historic Disctrict
2. WHAT ARE YOUR TOUR HOURS?
12:00 pm from Tuesday thru Saturday. Please arrive as early as 15 minutes prior to the tour time
3.-WHAT TIME SHOULD I ARRIVE?
Ideally we like everyone to arrive 15 minutes before a tour starts. We endeavor to get underway on time, so we appreciate it if you can try to keep to the allotted tour time. If you are running late please call us to let us know and we will do our best to hold up the tour for a reasonable period of time.
4. HOW LONG IS THE TOUR?
90 minutes, but can run longer for up to 2 hours
5. DO YOU DO OFFER PRIVATE TOURS?
Yes, we offer private tours. The extra cost is $10 per person. Please call us at 912.777.4620 for arrangements
6. WHERE DOES THE TOUR START AND FINISH?
Our tour starts at our store, located at 106 W Gwinnett St. UNIT 1C. Savannah, GA 31401. See map HERE
Our tour finishes back at our store from where they began, but don’t worry our tour follows a loop and you certainly won’t be repeating any of the sights.
7. DO I HAVE TO MAKE A RESERVATION?
It is highly advisable that you make a reservation. We limit our groups to 10 to make your tour a more pleasurable experience, so you should try to make a reservation as early as possible. However, if there is space on a tour we will always try to accommodate late riders. You may reserve over the phone or online by clicking HERE. We recommend you reserve at least a week in advance. You can always call us at 912.777.4620 to check availability
9.- CAN I BRING MY OWN BIKE?
Yes. We discount $5.00 from the full price if you wish to bring your own bike, which will be refunded at the time of the tour if you made your reservation online.
10. MAY I KEEP THE BIKE AFTER THE TOUR IS OVER?
Yes. We offer bike tour and after-tour bike rental packages:
Tour + 3 hr rental
Tour + 24 hr rental (FOR OVERNIGHT RENTALS IT IS REQUIRED THE BIKES TO BE KEPT INDOORS DURING THE NIGHT)
11.- ARE CHILDREN ALLOWED ON THE TOURS?
Children under 7 years are not permitted to join any Savannah On Wheels bike tour. Eligible children must be accompanied by an adult at all times
12. WHAT IS YOUR CANCELLATION/REFUND POLICY?
A booking may be cancelled 48 hours before the tour is due to depart. No refund will be offered
within 48 hours prior to the scheduled tour start time. If you miss your tour for any reason, we
can gladly move your reservation to another day where we have space.
Refunds will not be offered to customers who fail to turn up for their tour at the designated time.
In the event that the Company is unable to provide a service throughout the validity of your
booking confirmation through circumstances within its control, you shall be entitled to a full refund of the price
of your ticket. The Company will endeavor to provide this immediately at the departure point,
but in the event that this is not possible, it will be done withing the same day of the event.
Most of our customers are happy to ride in the rain, however, in the event of extreme weather
conditions the Company will reschedule the tour and if this is unacceptable will refund the full price of the tour.
The Company reserves the right to cancel a tour in the light of circumstances beyond the
Company’s control. If for any reason the tour is cancelled somebody will, on each occasion, contact the customer via telephone and/or e-mail. The Company also reserves the right to vary the times of
departure without notice, in the event of marches, parades, or where reasonable to do so in the
light of circumstances beyond the Company’s control.
13.- WHAT IS YOUR SAFETY POLICY?
Each customer is responsible for maintaining their own safety at all times. The Company will not
be liable for any injuries caused to a customer unless this is as a result of negligence on the
By agreeing to take part on the tour, all customers are agreeing to follow the safety instructions
given by the guide and to exercise due care and attention whilst cycling. If a participant is
unable to ride a bicycle safely the tour leader may ask the person to stop riding. No refund will
CUSTOMER CONDUCT and SAFETY
The Company may, at its discretion, require any person to be excluded from a tour if The
Company deems his or her conduct to be offensive or a nuisance to other customers. The
Company also reserves the right to refuse access to participate on a particular tour should
circumstance be deemed to compromise tour safety
14.- ARE TIPS REQUIRED?
Tips are not required but it is certainly the best way to show your appreciation to your tour guide :-)
